Cable Reel Stands

The City of Geneva is soliciting bids for the procurement and delivery of fabricated cable reel stands for its Public Works Department Electric Division. The required stands must be constructed from square mild steel tubing with 2.5 inch diameter spindle shafts, safety locks, lifting rings, and forklift pockets, capable of supporting 72 inch cable reels weighing approximately 2,500 lbs. All units must be finished with ANSI Grey polyurethane paint and include a one-year warranty against defects in materials, workmanship, and finishes. This is a supply-only contract with delivery required F.O.B. destination to the City of Geneva Electric Utility in Illinois. Bids must be submitted in duplicate via sealed envelopes to the City Administrator by 10:00 A.M. on September 15, 2025, and must include a 1,000 dollar bid bond. Evaluation will be based on the best interest of the City, considering factors such as delivery time, materials, construction methods, and bidder experience. Awardees must comply with various regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards, the Illinois Prevailing Wage Rate Act, the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, and drug-free workplace certifications. Manufacturing must commence within ten calendar days of a written Notice to Proceed, with deliveries scheduled during specified business hours following 24-hour advance notice.
