Cable Terminator

Nashville Electric Service has issued a Request for Bid for the procurement of 50 units of 25KV JCN cable terminators. The required product is a cold shrink silicone rubber design with built-in silicone sealing compound and sealing mastic, specifically intended for terminating 500 and 750 MCM 25KV Jacket Concentric Neutral (JCN) aluminum or copper cables with an insulation outside diameter between 1.05 and 1.80 inches. The solicitation strictly requires the 3M-INDUS 7655-S-4 part number, and no alternate brands will be accepted. Strict manufacturing and shelf-life requirements are in place, including a three-year shelf life after which items must be discarded. To ensure product freshness, items must be manufactured no more than two months prior to delivery, and vendors are required to include the date of manufacture on each individual terminator box. Bids must be submitted through the Bid Center by 2:00 pm local time on the close date of October 2, 2026.
