Cabling Services for E-Rate Funding Year 27-28

Tucson Unified School District is soliciting proposals for the installation of Category 6 UTP Ethernet-compliant cabling at twenty-six different locations to support future outdoor wireless access points. The project is designed to utilize federal E-Rate funding for fiscal years 2027/2028 and 2028/2029. The scope of work includes the installation of surface mount boxes and outdoor single-gang weatherproof boxes, as well as the testing and labeling of all new drops. The contract term begins July 1, 2027, and runs through June 30, 2029, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions, not to exceed a total of five years. Award selection is based on the most advantageous offer to the district, considering both cost and technical qualifications through a two-phase evaluation process that may include demonstrations. Contractors must provide pre-discount pricing for both E-Rate eligible and ineligible items and are required to maintain specific insurance and safety standards. Key administrative requirements include the use of Service Provider Invoicing for E-Rate projects, net thirty-day payment terms, and compliance with various federal labor and environmental regulations. The district maintains the right to substitute or cancel projects at specific sites without penalty.
