AI Contract Overview
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking a qualified contractor to remove existing natural stone and tile flooring and install full-flake epoxy flooring in six shower houses at Caesar Creek State Park Campground. The project involves surface preparation, including grinding concrete subfloors and filling cracks, followed by the application of a primer, a decorative chip system, and a clear coat to achieve an anti-skid finish. Work must be performed between November 1 and December 1, 2026, during which time all shower houses will be closed. The contractor is responsible for measuring the specific areas for accurate quantities and must include all necessary substrate repairs and floor drain adjustments in their bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the low lot total for all items. To be considered, bidders must provide four examples of similar completed projects and demonstrate at least five years of experience. While the general addendum mentions prevailing wages and bonds, specific project inquiries clarify that prevailing wage does not apply and a performance bond is not required for this specific project. Depending on the final quote, the agreement will be formalized using either a contract addendum for amounts under 50,000 dollars or a personal contract for amounts exceeding 50,000 dollars.
