1.2 INVITATION
A. Your firm is invited to submit a sealed bid to the Owner for demolition to the existing facilities located at address above.
B. Project Description:
The project includes demolition of an existing building on Main St in Caldwell, KS. This will involve the removal of all structures, foundations and utilities associated with these buildings, as well as site grading, backfilling, and surface restoration to ensure the area is safe and compliant for future plans. In addition, an alternate bid will be provided for the salvage and stabilization of the East façade.
C. Bids will be on a stipulated sum basis.
D. The Owner requires the Project to achieve Substantial Completion within 90 calendar days and Project Completion within a following 30 calendar days.
E. A prebid meeting will be held at 113 S Main beginning at 11:00a.m. local prevailing time on July 8th for 7/9 S Main, Caldwell with a site visit to follow. Bidder attendance is strongly encouraged.
F. The Owner will receive bids until 12:00 p.m. local prevailing time on August 10, 2026 at the City Office located at 14 W Central, Caldwell, KS. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The owner will make a motion regarding the lowest qualified bid at the City Commission Meeting on August 19, 2026.
G. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately after bid submittal time. All interested parties are invited to attend.
