Full Description

NASA/GRC has a requirement for the purchase of the complete Met/Team License package in order to transition from the Fluke Mettrack Metrology system product to the upgraded operating system. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Fluke Electronics, 69 Seaway Blvd., Everett, WA, 98203-5829. The system was designed by Fluke as the direct replacement for its Mettrack product line currently in use at our Center. The equipment selected is designed to integrate into the existing business systems and operate with the Metcal calibration software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The sole source is under the authority of FAR reference 1.106-1(b)1. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 6, 2016. Such capabilities/ qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
