Canine Training Explosives Storage

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Air Force, 700th Contracting Squadron, Kapaun Air Station, Kaiserslautern, Germany intends to issue a sole source award to Armag Corporation, 300 Armag Avenue, Bardstown, KY 40004, DUNS: 007991748. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. IAW Memorandum for Commanding Officer, Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity dated 27 Jul 2007, The Armag Corporation Canine Explosive Training Aid Storage Magazine (CETASM) is approved for storage of Canine Explosive Scent Kits. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. This notice is not a request for quotes and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating the capability and specifications of their products. Item Description - 86 Security Forces Squadron, Ramstein AB, Germany has a requirement for: CLIN 0001 - Canine Explosive Training Aid Storage Magazine (CETASM), K-9 MWD Explosive Storage Container, Dimensions: 7' X 7' X 7' Type 2 Class ABC US government spec magazine (NSWC 3046-93-1); needs to meet the Government specification as described: Three 1" overlapping layers of military grade hardwood on all six sides (bullet resistant), Hardwood needs to be kiln dried, surface treated, mold resistant, and insect free. Requires Ventilation assurance; Exterior steel coated with a minimum of 7 mils high solids urethane coating, Color: White. Unit should be equipped with a single door with hinges constructed of steel and stainless steel center pin. Door opening is framed with heavy duty angle and door includes (2) hinge-side steel security pins to prevent door removal should hinges be defeated. Unit is mounted on heavy duty 6"x20 lb. beam base or wall tubing; Approximate weight per unit: 11000 lbs; including anchors, Lightning protection kit as well as 4-way forklift pockets. Internally mounted aluminum storage rack with capacity to store 35 canisters.Exterior Mounted 1/4 inch steel enclosure welded to exterior of magazine. Includes 70 amp electrical panel, IDS Prep (conduit for door sensor installed through the wall), and Slim 18W LED exterior light enclosed in steel shroud, mounted next to door. QUANTITY: 1 each CLIN 0002 - Sand filled aluminum training aid canister with handle and removable lid. QUANTITY: 16 each CLIN 0003 - Sand filled aluminum canister with handle. Used to separate specific training aids. QUANTITY: 17 each CLIN 0004 - Aluminum Rack to be used to transport up to 24 canisters. rack is designed to fit in rear of S-10 sized Pickup.
