Solicitation # W911QY26RNZ42a
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Division is preparing to award a sole-source, firm fixed price contract to Formerra LLC for the procurement of Nylon 6/6 Zytel 42a polymer, a highly specialized material essential for the formulation of government-furnished materials used by the Fiber Production Branch. The North American Industry Classification System code is 325211 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the contract will be performed in Natick, Massachusetts. Domestic Component Sourcing & Supply Chain LogisticsThe contract involves the supply of TAA/BAA-compliant raw materials and sub-components essential for the production of ACFT kits, including elastic polymers, plastic housings, and digital timers, ensuring full adherence to domestic sourcing requirements. All materials must meet stringent regulatory standards to support U.S. defense manufacturing needs, with the primary focus on maintaining a secure and compliant domestic supply chain. The contract is structured as a subcontract under the Department of Defense, managed by the Defense Logistics Agency, and falls under the NAICS code 325211, which categorizes it within plastic material and resin manufacturing. The award is tied to a specific procurement reference and performance obligations that require precise logistics coordination to deliver components on schedule, although no explicit place of performance or point of contact is provided in the data. The posting date indicates the solicitation was made in 2026, suggesting this is a forward-looking procurement aimed at securing critical manufacturing inputs well in advance of production cycles. Compliance with trade agreements and domestic content mandates is central to eligibility, and failure to meet these conditions could result in contract termination or penalties. The subcontract is integral to broader defense equipment assembly efforts and requires close alignment with federal procurement protocols to ensure uninterrupted supply to military programs.
