The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is conducting a sources sought effort to identify potential contractors capable of supporting expeditionary healthcare documentation and the transmission of this information to a longitudinal health record. This effort is intended to assess industry capabilities and help determine the best acquisition approach for documenting care in deployed or resource-constrained environments. The agency has invited interested parties to provide detailed written responses describing their relevant experience and proposed capabilities, without submitting pricing information, and has emphasized that this announcement does not represent a request for proposals or a commitment to award a contract. As part of the outreach, DHA conducted a virtual Industry Day in April 2021 to discuss operational medical IT challenges and to engage industry with open sessions and opportunities for selected vendors to demonstrate their capabilities. The program office continues to coordinate internally and is currently not requesting additional information from industry, advising all participants to monitor official channels such as HIVE and sam.gov for updates. Points of contact are available for inquiries, and respondents are responsible for the costs of responding. This initiative aligns with NAICS code 541511 and is managed by the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Contracting Division within the DHA’s Office based in Rosslyn, Virginia.
