AI Contract Overview
This contract pertains to the procurement of two fixed paper dielectric capacitors with the NSN 5910-01-182-9627, under solicitation SPE7M2-26-T-5551, issued by the Department of Defense’s Nuclear Reactor Program. The items must be supplied in strict compliance with DLA packaging and marking standards, including MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging and MIL-STD-129 for labeling, with each unit package requiring specific markings for NSN, contract number, lot number, contractor and manufacturer CAGE codes, and part number. Lead finish identification must adhere to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609, with compliant markings applied to each individual unit package. The delivery is FOB origin with a 168-day lead time, scheduled for delivery by January 5, 2027, and inspection and acceptance occur at destination. Zero tolerance is mandated for quantity variance, and sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 with acceptance levels of zero non-conformances unless otherwise specified. The contract prohibits the intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds in or on the supplied hardware, with limited exceptions for functional components such as batteries, fluorescent lamps, sensors, weapon systems, or specified chemical reagents. Portable devices containing mercury must include a secondary containment and be shock-proof per NAVSEA 5100-003D. This item is classified as critical, requiring all waiver or deviation requests to be routed through the DSCC Contracting Officer for engineering review. Hazardous materials handling follows IP025 guidelines, and transportation details are governed by DLAD Proc Notes C19 and C20. The destination for delivery is the DLA Distribution San Joaquin warehouse in Tracy, California. The manufacturer must ensure full adherence to all technical and quality requirements referenced from the DLA Master List, with revision control tied to the solicitation or award date depending on acquisition size.
