PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. Navy Medical Forces Atlantic intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with Bio-Medical Devices International, Inc. as the comprehensive package for Controlled Air Purifying Respirators. The contractor shall provide a comprehensive package that provides lightweight, battery operated air purifying respirator, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved adjustable airflow, full face protection; adjustable to full shroud protection, rechargeable batteries with minimum 8 hour run time and OSHA assigned protection facto (APF) 1000. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i). This notice will be distributed solely through the betaSAM.gov Website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the betaSAM site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 339113. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined the Navy Medical Forces Atlantic requirement can only be provided by Bio-Medical Devices International, Inc. as they are the manufacturer and sole provider for the comprehensive package. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 3pm, EST, 02 September 2020 by email to Dene Slater, Contracting Officer, at contact@example.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
