It provides car parking to support rail travel generating farebox revenue, as well as car park revenue. It also provides staff car parking whether in dedicated staff car parks or in its publicly available car parks. AWC car parks are primarily operated using barriers and payment terminals, location on and around station premises. AWC seeks to transform the customer proposition at its car parks, through the procurement of a single contract for car park management (CPM), deployment of cloud-based barrierless (freeflow) automatic numberplate recognition (ANPR) systems and provision of a cashless payment platform. Ongoing carpark management services also form part of this procurement.
