Casitas Mutual Water Company Annexation

The Ventura River Water District is managing the annexation of the Casitas Mutual Water Company into its service area to provide water service in unincorporated Ventura County. The project area is located at Casitas Springs and is bounded by the Ventura River to the west, Highway 33 to the east, and Highway 33 postmiles 6.117 to the south and 7.051 to the north. Currently, the water supply is sourced from an existing private domestic water well and an intertie from the Casitas Municipal Water District. Upon the completion of construction, the Casitas Mutual Water Company will dissolve and cease to exist as a water company. This project is categorized as exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section 15319(a) for annexation to a special district.
