NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe (Indian- Owned Economic Enterprise) for the Cass Lake Service Unit in Cass Lake, MN.
The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available. Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe has a Solid Waste Division offering Recycling and Disposal Services that are required by the Cass Lake Service Unit. The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Solid Waste Division provides comprehensive services, including completion of all Disposition forms required by the Government for Certificate of Destruction, A&D Determination, and the HHS-22 Request for Property Action form. Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe is the only responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements of the Cass Lake Service Unit.
