The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government has a need for supply and installation of a power take off winch for a Caterpillar D6T dozer. This includes 145 feet of wire rope with chain, fair leads (four rollers), wire rope hook, electronic control module, joystick, wiring from joystick to winch, and all other items required to complete the installation. Installation will take place in Peoria, Illinois or Minooka, Illinois. Installation must be completed by a Caterpillar certified technician to ensure continued warranty support. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract with Altorfer, Inc DBA CATERPILLAR AUTHORIZED DEALER, 2600 6TH St. SW Cedar Rapids, IA 524041-3504.
