Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego plans to issue a sole source purchase order under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 for replacement parts necessary to restore the diesel generator onboard the USS NEW ORLEANS LPD 18 to full operational status. The solicitation number is N00244-16-T-0170, with an anticipated award to Hawthorne Machinery Co., the authorized distributor for Caterpillar Inc., the sole manufacturer of the required parts.
