AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of a pneumothorax catheterization kit, a medical device regulated by the FDA, containing a 11 FR catheter 13 cm in length along with a complete set of surgical and suction components including a thoracic vent, trocar, double-valved aspiration cannula, suction tubing, two syringes (60 cc and 3 cc), two safety needles (25G and 22G), a scalpel, Halsted forceps, gauze sponges, a fenestrated drape, CSR wrap, an occlusion plug, and associated sterile packaging. Each unit must be sealed in a protective container and shipped in commercial exterior packaging suitable for safe delivery via common carrier at the lowest cost to the designated destination. The item must have a 36-month shelf life, with no more than five months elapsed from manufacture to delivery, and must be clearly labeled per Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129. Packaging must comply with ASTM D3951 but is subject to higher precedence by DLA Master List technical and quality requirements. The unit of issue is each, and the contract requires a delivery of one unit within 20 days to Hurlbert Field, Florida, with no tolerance for variance in quantity. The item is identified by NSN 6515-01-632-2087 and supplier part numbers from Owens & Minor (6597TV1113) and Uresil LLC (TV11-13). All bids must include the manufacturer’s part number and source. Shipping must be traceable, explicitly prohibiting parcel post, and all documentation, including FDA referrals, must be submitted by the contractor per DLA protocol. The solicitation is issued under SPE2DS-26-T-303W with a response deadline of August 10, 2026, and a required delivery date of August 5, 2026.
