The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source contract to L-3 IS, located at Waco, Texas, to provide P 3 Depot Level Services for CBP's P-3 Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long Range Tracker (LRT) aircraft. This support is a continuation of the Depot Level services already in process at the L-3 IS, Waco, Texas site. There is one P-3 AEW aircraft and one P-3 LRT aircraft that were inducted to this site for wings-off depot level work. The induction of these aircraft to the L-3 IS Waco Texas site has rendered both aircraft inoperable where they cannot be moved until the work is completed. The support will include Enhanced Special Structural Inspection (ESSI), Phased Depot Maintenance (PDM) and Aircraft Preservation work for the two aircraft at the L-3 IS facility in a non-flyable state. The period of performance is for a one year base period and two (2) one year options. Responses to this announcement requesting a solicitation must be received by the listed procuring office within 15 calendar days from date of publication of this notice. A Request for Proposal is not being developed nor will one be released. A Justification and Approval is currently being prepared. Ronald B. Rosenberg, Contracting Officer, Phone 202-344-2985, Email ronald.rosenberg@dhs.gov or Susan Baptist, Contracting Officer, Phone 202-344-1223, Email Susan.Baptist@dhs.gov.
