Request for Information (RFI) for Color Day Display Module (CDDM) & Color Night Display Module (CNDM) THIS IS AN RFI ONLY. This Sources Sought (SS)/Request for Information (RFI) is being posted to satisfy the requirement of DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, AL intends to issue a sole source C-type contract to Elbit Systems of America for displays. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and does not commit the Government to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. Further, the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Background: EFW, a division of Elbit Systems of America (ESA), is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Color Day Display Modules (CDDMs) and Color Night Display Module (CNDMs). Product Manager Air Warrior has purchased the Color Day Display Module (CDDMs -P/N MB1268D-03) and Color Night Display Modules (CNDMs - P/N 039430B-02) on contract W58RGZ-10-D-0242 for fielding to US Army helicopter platforms as platforms receive the Advanced Sight and Display Computer obsolescence upgrade. The pilot is able to view symbology generated by the ASDC on the CDDM and CNDM for use in flight in a heads up posture. Due to delays in the competitive award of a contract for a Common Helmet Mounted Display (CHMD, reference Solicitation W58RGZ-17-R-0043) that will replace the CDDM and CNDM, the US Army will deplete the stock of CDDMs and CNDMs and needs to purchase a limited quantity of CDDMs and CNDMs to continue the fielding of the ASDC obsolescence upgrade. The CDDMs and CNDMs from this award will be used as an interim solution until product is available from the award to be made from the CHMD solicitation W58RGZ-17-R-0043. Purpose: The Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW) is seeking to identify interested contractors capable of manufacture and delivery of CDDMs (P/N MB1268D-03) and CNDMs (P/N 039430B-02)..
