Full Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, Firm- Fixed Price (FFP) contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(b)(2) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to CEIA USA, located at 9155 Dutton Drive, Twinsburg, OH 44087. The scope of the requirement is the purchase of seven (7) Walk-Through Metal Detectors that are fully compliant with NIJ-0601.02/NIJ-0601.03 standards as well as the testing requirements of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP). CEIA is the manufacture of this equipment and is the only known company at this time which can provide the FBOP with the proprietary integratable system required. The requirement will be awarded by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and piloted at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334519. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications within three (3) days after date of publication of this notice of intent.
