CEMENT BLOCK WALLS - Heritage IRA

Solicitation 2140119, issued by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) for the Heritage IRA facility in Wassaic, New York, requires the removal and replacement of three exterior cement block walls. The contractor is responsible for demolishing the existing walls, installing new 8x8x16 masonry blocks and mortar to the original height, backfilling and compacting the soil, and reinstalling the wooden staircase and metal Bilco doors. All work must be sealed to prevent water penetration. The contractor must provide all necessary materials, including blocks, mortar, screws, and masonry anchors, and is responsible for the off-site disposal of all debris. The project must be completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order, with work performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Mandatory requirements for bidders include registration with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i and attendance at the site visit held on October 30, 2026. Proposals must be submitted by November 13, 2026, and remain valid for 90 days. Additionally, the contractor must provide Safety Data Sheets to the Plant Superintendent and attend a pre-work safety meeting. Final acceptance of the project will be determined by the appropriate Maintenance Supervisor.
