Operational Security Cameras Bagwell and North Cargo AreasThe contract involves the design, permitting, and construction of a new camera system to enhance security and operational oversight in the Bagwell and North Cargo Operations areas of the Port of Seattle. The project will install a total of 50 high-resolution cameras across 43 locations to improve forensic capabilities and enforce the Port’s movement rules and regulations. Current camera coverage is limited to conveyor systems and security doors, so the new system will significantly expand surveillance along main terminal drive lanes and entrances in the Bagwell area, providing clearer and more comprehensive visual monitoring. In the North Cargo area, flexible surface area monitoring will be implemented using pan-tilt-zoom units that allow user-controlled adjustment to cover gaps and critical zones not currently addressed. All work will be managed by the Aviation Project Management Group under the Port of Seattle, with point of contact provided by Angela Peterson and Randa Williams. The project falls under NAICS code 238210 for electrical and other construction wiring services, indicating the scope includes both hardware installation and supporting infrastructure upgrades. The solicitation was posted in July 2026 and is intended to improve long-term security posture through advanced, user-controlled camera technology, enabling real-time responsiveness and detailed post-event analysis in high-traffic cargo environments.

The Centennial Concert Hall is undertaking a comprehensive renewal of its original production communications systems, which have been in place since the building’s construction and are now well beyond their designed lifespan and technologically outdated. These systems are vital to the seamless operation of live performances, enabling real-time audio and video coordination for actors and production staff during scene and costume changes. The project will replace all existing infrastructure with a modern, fully integrated system that includes digital audio distribution throughout backstage areas, dressing rooms, production offices, and front of house, alongside a new live video distribution network that will extend video feeds to dressing rooms, offices, and public screens. A key enhancement includes an infrared camera on the balcony rail to monitor blackout cues and trigger subsequent stage transitions. A secure wireless production network will be installed to allow encrypted digital communication among cast and crew, while a hybrid wired and wireless Clear Com system will enable department-specific communication—such as between audio and lighting teams—during rehearsals and technical setup, with the ability to unify communications during performances. The final system will unify paging, program audio, video distribution, and a robust Wi-Fi backbone under one synchronized platform. Bids are due by June 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM CDT, with inquiries directed to Project Consultant Wes Jenkins of Down Stage Right Industries LTD, and all bidding documents available on Merx.com.

Previously published May 24, 2026. Four (4) Addendums added. Submision closing date extended to June 4th, 2026 at 2:00 PM CDT. The Centennial Concert Hall’s communications systems that support the production of live entertainment are original to the construction of the building. These systems are well past their designed life cycle and behind advancements in technology, and current show productions warrant a need for these systems to be upgraded. These communication systems allow for actors and production staff to see and hear real-time audio and video so that they can hit their cues during costume or scene changes. These systems are critical to all shows and productions that take place on the stage. This project replaces all existing production communications systems. The new system will include new digital audio for program and paging distributed throughout backstage dressing rooms, hallways, production offices along with front of house areas. The addition of live video to dressing rooms, offices and screens located throughout the front of house will be a drastic improvement. Video will also be used with an infrared camera located on the balcony rail during black-out cues to see when a set change is completed and the next cue is called to continue the show. A wireless production network will be installed which will allow actors, production staff to communicate digitally on a private and secured network. The addition of a wired and wireless “Clear Com” system used by production staff with headphones will allow departments such as audio and lighting to communicate amongst themselves during setup and technical rehearsals, limiting unwanted chatter from other departments, and then join together during showtime. The systems, once completed, will be a seamlessly integrated paging and program sound system, updated Wi-Fi network, and a complete video distribution system.
