QUESTION: Is it acceptable to purchase the same hardware, subsystems, and sensors used in other like refrigeration, HVAC, and building controls systems so that we can assume in our proposal that we do not need to waste time identifying and evaluating new hardware, subsystems, and sensors to support those refrigeration, HVAC, and buildings that require new hardware to be installed? ANSWER: The RFP Is written under the assumption that the proposers software and interface devices will interface with and monitor and control DeCA's existing RMCS, HVAC and building control systems. The RFP also assumes that new hardware in addition to the proposer's interface devices will be the 6 wireless temperature sensors per location as described under paragraph 6.2 of the RFP as follows "6.2 Furnish and install all equipment, including the enterprise gateway, controllers, all low voltage wiring, relays, contactors, wireless sensors in a maximum of six refrigerated cases that are not connected to the location's central refrigeration system and other ancillary devices as specified at the five locations listed herein."
