Full Description

Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a two (2) year noncompetitive procurement to Centrifuge-Systems, LLC, d/b/a Centrisys (Centrisys) for ongoing and as-needed CS21-4, CS26-4, and CS30-4 Centrifuge dewatering equipment leasing, in the amount of $2,957,800.00. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(1) of the County’s Procurement Policy as only one (1) manufacturer makes the item meeting salient specifications and is required to maintain interchangeability and compatibility as a part of an existing integrated system, to maintain standardization for the purpose of reducing financial investment by reducing employee training. These centrifuge models are being used as part of this dewatering system that County staff has been thoroughly trained on their safe operation, and the manufacturer only leases exclusively through one (1) regional representative, Centrisys. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached vendor project proposal dated July 8, 2024, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the “messages” section in Bonfire for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
