The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award a sole source purchase order to Space Systems Research Corporation for the procurement of one Charge Coupled Device camera. This specific equipment is required for integration with an existing Doppler Asymmetric Spatial Heterodyne interferometer. The agency has determined that Space Systems Research Corporation is the only responsible source capable of providing the camera because it is the only model compatible with the current platform and requires custom design and manufacturing that only this vendor can provide. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures for purchases exceeding 150,000 dollars. While the government intends to proceed with a sole source award, other responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals to demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the government. All inquiries and correspondence regarding this intent, identified by notice number N00173-18-SV03, should be directed to Steven Vandercook.
