TSA Request for Information (RFI) Child Day Care and Child Care Related Services in the vicinity of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Introduction: The purpose of this RFI is to identify what child care service providers may be available in the marketplace for TSA employees with child day care and child care related support needs in and around Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Background: Working parents can experience challenges at the workplace without quality child day care and child care related services. The men and women of the TSA are often required to work varying hours and shifts, that can make securing stable child day care services very difficult, if not impossible. TSA employees man the airport until late hours of the day, 7 days-a-week including times of emergency operations in order to execute the TSA mission. These airport coverage hours are often outside the typical business hours of child day care and child care related service providers. TSA employees must respond to ongoing airport shift requirements and report to duty with little or no notice and require child care support with the same short notice. TSA employees may require holiday or extended hour child care services in an emergency or other unplanned situations with little or no notice. Objective: TSA seeks to identify potential child day care and child care related service providers who offer extended benefits outside their normal business model in order to support the men and women of the TSA who are the first line of defense to protect travelers in the Nation's Transportation System. Response: TSA requests that business entities interested in discussing child care services during nontraditional business hours for TSA employees provide a response by 23 AUGUST 2018 detailing what child day care and child care related services can be provided. Please include all relevant details as follows: Section 1 - Business information Section 2 - Child Care Services Currently Available Section 3 - Additional Child Care Services that can be made available, to include: a. Extended Child Care Service Schedules-Unconventional Hours: Extended business hours/flexible schedules to accommodate 7 days/week-late evening hours, overnight child care services, holiday child care support hours; b. Child Care Services during emergency/disaster relief efforts: Emergency-unplanned child care services with short notice. Disclaimer: This RFI does not represent an official solicitation, nor does it commit the U.S. Government to any course of action in the future. This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contractual agreement, nor will the Government pay for information requested hereunder. The Government shall incur no obligations or liabilities whatsoever, to anyone, for any costs or expenses incurred by the respondent to this RFI. This is not a funded TSA program nor does the Government anticipate future funding.
