The City is requesting proposals for a Bikeshare Contractor to provide turnkey service to operate a public bicycle sharing system comprised of both Class 1, pedal-assist and traditional (non-electric) purpose-built bicycles. Proposals should include but not be limited to hardware, software, operations, installation, maintenance, rebalancing, customer support, partner support, station installation and management and demobilization, battery swapping, hardware replacement, and branding on bikes. Evaluate the City of Kingston and the potential Bikeshare network to propose the fleet size and number of stations for a sustainable program. Respondents are encouraged to propose alternative approaches and methods where they believe doing so would better achieve the project's goals. Docking station locations have been preliminarily identified. Ideally, the program will launch by June 2027 and operate with funding from a grant from NYSERDA for at least 16 months through the end of August 2029. The Subcontractor will work with the City of Kingston to develop a sustainable program beyond the initial seed funding. PROVO CITY SHARED MICROMOBILITY PROGRAM
Solicitation # PR2026001041
Provo City, Utah, is soliciting proposals for a vendor to develop, install, operate, and maintain a comprehensive shared micromobility program featuring a fleet of electric bikes and electric scooters. The program aims to provide a sustainable alternative to single-occupancy vehicle trips, focusing on first-mile/last-mile connectivity within the public right-of-way. The selected vendor will be responsible for all infrastructure, including docking and parking solutions, as well as ongoing maintenance, cleaning, and fleet rebalancing. To ensure equity, the system must include pricing and access options for users without smartphones or credit cards. The contract is intended for an initial three-year term with two optional one-year extensions, with a target launch date of December 2026. This is a vendor-funded initiative, meaning Provo City does not expect to contribute funds for the program's launch or maintenance. The successful vendor must provide a financially viable proposal and is required to provide a 100,000 dollar irrevocable letter of credit as performance security. Proposals will be evaluated on a weighted scale focusing on firm experience, proposed strategies, financial considerations, technology, and sustainability. Key technical requirements include the use of Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bikes and strict adherence to vehicle identification and safety labeling. Submissions are due by November 6, 2026, via the Bonfire portal and must include a signed vendor statement and detailed qualifications.
