Cleaning of Manholes, Sewer Lines, and Drains

Cobb County is soliciting bids for an annual contract under solicitation number 26-7009 to provide cleaning and repair services for manholes, sewer lines, and drains. The scope of work includes removing debris and restoring wastewater collection systems to normal operating conditions at multiple locations, including the Northwest Cobb, Noonday Creek, R. L. Sutton, and South Cobb Water Reclamation Facilities, the System Maintenance Division, and fifty lift station locations. The contract is for an initial two-year term with three optional one-year renewals. Bidders must be capable of providing 24-hour emergency service 365 days a year, responding to telephone calls within 30 minutes and arriving on-site within two hours. The award will be made at the County's sole discretion, with tie-breaking priority given to in-county vendors, then in-state vendors, and finally the vendor with the lowest total dollar volume. Requirements for submission include firm unit pricing for technicians, helpers, and various services such as jetting and pump trucks, as well as a detailed equipment list. Successful contractors must provide a valid Georgia business certificate, comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and adhere to E-Verify requirements via a Subcontractor Affidavit. Insurance policies must be issued by a Georgia-authorized insurer with a minimum AM Best rating of A- and a financial rating of Class VII or greater.
