Cloud Engineering Sole Source Justification

The contract involves issuing a sole source task order to Smartronix, Inc. under the GSA Schedule 70 Contract to continue essential Cloud Infrastructure System Administration Services for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). This task order is intended as a bridge to maintain uninterrupted services until a new Cloud Engineering Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and its associated calls can be awarded through a competitive procurement process. The ongoing work is a continuation of services previously performed under Task Order 9531CB20F0036. Although the CFPB had awarded a BPA before the expiration of the current task order, the award faced a protest, necessitating corrective actions by the Bureau. As a result, the BPA has not been finalized, and this sole source bridge contract with Smartronix will ensure critical cloud infrastructure services remain operational. The work will be performed at the CFPB’s Washington, DC location, with Mr. Laurent E. Pichet serving as the point of contact for this contract action. This arrangement ensures continuity of mission-critical support while the BPA procurement is resolved.
