Scope: Request for Information (RFI). This is RFI is for your use only. Please do not share this RFI with any other agencies, contractors, or exchanges. The City of Clovis is issuing this request for information (RFI) to solicit recommendations from qualified contractors and flooring specialists to provide the best methods and materials to level 10,000 square feet and provide better play court experience. The facility is located at 3495 Clovis Ave, and the improvements are only for the sports court floor at the north end of the Clovis Recreation Center Building. This RFI is issued for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation for bids, a Request for Proposals (RFP), or a commitment by the City of Clovis to issue a contract. Responses will be used to inform the City's approach to a future formal procurement process. Current Condition:The north-end sports court area encompasses approximately 10,000 square feet, that is un-even from a previous attempt to use of self-leveling material. Staff have noted that during the original rehabilitation, multiple floors drain from the prior attempt were infilled, and self-leveling compound was applied to create a level playing surface. Over the years, the self-leveling material has failed, creating an uneven floor and sport court surface. We are looking for solutions to level the floor and provide better play court experience. The slab on grade is reinforced concrete; the mix design is unknown. History of the Building: The City acquired and rehabilitated the north end of the Recreation Center approximately 20 or more years ago. During the review for the remodel, staff noticed multiple drains in this area from the previous occupant. See attached floor plan references in this email.
