Mill Turn Machine for the Watervliet ArsenalThe contract calls for the acquisition of one new heavy-duty CNC Milling Turning Machine, with an option to purchase a second unit, under solicitation W911PT26QA084 for the Watervliet Arsenal in New York. The machine must be a turn-key system, fully configured with dual spindles, a slant bed with one-piece base, four-rail construction, and CNC-controlled 5-axis functionality (X, Z, Y, C, and B) to enable comprehensive machining in a single setup, including turning, milling, profiling, contouring, hobbing, and cut-off operations. The preferred model is the NT6600DCG/6000 with Fanuc F31iB5 and CELOS controls or an equal equivalent, and it must include two self-centering c-rests, an automatic tool changer, a coolant system, and an automatic chip removal system.
