How can we translate the connection between human health and Earth life support into policy?
Available knowledge, policy, and citizen initiatives currently insufficiently protect and restore ‘planetary health’. Over the next five years, the CINPHIA network will develop a Planetary Health Compass. This tool connects scientific insights with methods for citizen involvement and collaboration between government departments. CINPHIA (‘Co-creating and Integrating Planetary Health Impact Assessment in policy practice’) tests this approach against climate policy and infectious diseases, as well as against sustainable medicine policy and the environment. The Planetary Health Compass helps the government solve problems in health and environment.
