The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate of the Army Contracting Command intends to award a single-source commercial item purchase order to B/E Aerospace for the procurement of low db loss coax cable and associated connectors. Under solicitation W911W6-16-P-0006, the requirement includes 750 feet of continuous TFLX205-100 coax cable along with TNC and SMA connectors in both straight and right-angle configurations. This procurement is conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with NAICS code 334419 and is not a set-aside requirement. The decision to solicit from a single source is based on the fact that EMTEQ cabling possesses the necessary airworthiness certification from the Aviation Engineering Directorate for GPS signals used by the Airborne Mission Networking system. Because this specific cabling is already integrated into four prototype pallets, including three that will become fielded units, it is the only product compatible with the current build for connecting pallets to GPS antennas. Delivery, inspection, and acceptance will take place at Fort Eustis, Virginia. The successful offeror is required to be registered in the System for Award Management and must submit invoices through the Wide Area WorkFlow system.

The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) Contracting Division, Army Contracting Command (ACC), intends to solicit from a single source, B/E Aerospace located at 5349 S. Emmer Drive; New Berlin, Wisconsin 53151-7302, in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1 (b) (i), Soliciting from a Single Source. The solicitation number is W911W6-16-P-0006 and is NOT issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The associated NAICS code is 334419 and the small business size standard is 750. This is not a set-aside requirement. The proposed contract action will be a commercial item purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed effort is for procurement of the following: 750 feet of continuous coax cable, P/N: TFLX205-100; Connectors, TNC Male, Straight, P/N: TMS205-1; Connectors, TNC Male, Right Angle P/N: TMR205-2; SMA Straight Connector P/N: SMS205-1; and SMA Right Angle Connectors P/N: SMR205-1. The B/E Aerospace manufactured EMTEQ TFLX205-100 cable and associated connectors are low db loss. The EMTEQ cable has airworthiness certification from Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) for use on the specific aircraft for GPS signals that the Airborne Mission Networking (AMN) system will use. EMTEQ RF cabling is already used in four prototype AMN pallets and is what will be used during the Redstone Test Center (RTC) testing. There is a significant investment in EMTEQ cabling. This is based on the fact that 3 of the 4 already built "prototype" pallets will be fielded units. Since the pallets are already wired using EMTEQ connectors, EMTEQ is the only product compatible with the current pallet build that can be used on the aircraft to connect the AMN pallets to the GPS antennas. Delivery, Inspection, Acceptance and F.O.B. Point are at Destination, Fort Eustis, Virginia 23604. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. No request for quotes/proposals will be posted. Interested sources may identify interest and their capability to respond to the requirement. The Government will review and consider all capability statements received within the closing date set in this notice.
