The Project includes the following Work: The Project consists of, but is not limited to, installation of 580 FT of 8-inch ductile iron waterline, valves, fittings, and appurtenances. The Owner will provide pipe, valves, fittings, and appurtenances as listed on the materials list provided in Specification Section 010100 Summary of Work. All additional materials shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. All work is located on Pike Street and Houserville Road, crossing College Avenue in College Township, Centre County, PA. The extent of the work is described in the Contract documents, drawings and specifications. The work will be coordinated with Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania’s gas line replacement, which is being undertaken in the same vicinity at the same time. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at the College Township Office, 1481 East College Avenue, State College PA 16801. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States.
