SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Color Radar Procurement and Installation CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for procurement, in country installation and test of one of the following APN-241, RTA 4114 and P880 ( color radar ) for use by an FMS customer on one C-130E. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to procure, install and test APN-241, RTA 4114 and P880 ( color radar ) for use by an FMS customer on one C-130E. Our acquisition strategy is a one time buy and installation of one of the three listed color radar systems to meet an FMS customers needs. The projected quantities will be one of the three listed color radar systems as decided by the customer. The primary purpose of the system is to detect storms along the flightpath and give the pilot a visual indication in color of their rainfall intensity and turbulence content.
