Command and Control Capsules for the C-17A Globemaster III

The Government is conducting market research to identify, as potential sources, companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to competently and competitively respond to requirements to provide two new Command and Control Capsules. The "roll-on, roll-off" capsules shall be used exclusively on the C-17A Globemaster III aircraft. A draft list of requirements and a notional layout of the capsules in provided in the attachment. Interested parties are asked to self-identify or express interest to (steve.bauer.5@us.af.mil) no later than 1 Jul 2016. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this market research. Please include any information regarding company's small business status, if applicable. Additionally, please provide information regarding capabilities (e.g. - a brochure or description of capabilities and nature of goods and/or services the company provides) and a rough order of magnitude estimate of price for the capsules, assuming a contract award in CY2017. The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposal. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Companies responding to this sources sought are advised that participation does not ensure involvement in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparation or participation in the sources sought.
