Commercial Seaweed Production

This is a notice of proposed procurement. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has a requirement for a vendor to undertake a systematic review of available literature and data sources to support the estimate, the quantity and value of seaweed wild commercial harvest and aquaculture production, identify and interview harvesters, aquaculture companies and others as necessary to identify spatial and other attributes if the activities and the allocation of the product to various uses ( food, input, other)”. A methodology will need to be developed to allow for regular updates in the estimates of production quantity and value , spatial location of harvest and production areas. A report will also be provided including the results and a description of the methodology of sufficient detail to allow others to replicate and update the results. If you are not qualified under the stream(s) and category(ies) required in spite of being an SA-holder, you must then contact PSPC's SA Authority for the TSPS SA to update your supplier profile.
