The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), is conducting a Market Survey/Request for Information for the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Human Factors Research Division, (AAM-500)/Aerospace Medical Research Division (AAM-600) to identify and assess commercially available, computerized neurocognitive tests for use in the medical certification of pilots and air traffic controllers. The neurocognitive test should be broad spectrum and include measurement of cognitive domains such as executive function, processing speed, attention, working memory, and motor coordination. The test should also have the sensitivity and specificity for use in the cognitive screening of clinical populations with Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, neurological conditions, stroke, substance abuse/dependence, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and age-related cognitive impairment. Moreover, to mitigate against practice and coaching schemes, the neuropsychological screening/neurocognitive test must only be available to individuals who are licensed psychologists or actively engage in IRB-sanctioned research. This announcement is not intended to guarantee procurement of the services, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract. The Government is not liable for costs associated with the preparation, submittal of inquiries or responses for this announcement and will not reimburse any firm for cost incurred in responding to this public announcement.
