Complete Scan Climate Data Collection Station

NOTICE OF INTENT This is a Notice of Intent from the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). NRCS intends to award a fixed price sole source order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with Climate Sensor Systems, LLC., located at 11341 SE Highland Loop, Clackamas, Oregon, 97015. This award is being procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 13.106-1(2)(b)(1)(i), only One Source is reasonably available, and no other Supplies will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NRCS National Water and Climate Center has the responsibility of acquiring two(2) Complete SCAN Climate Data Collection Stations(NOT ASSEMBLED OR INSTALLED). NWCC are Natural Resource Planning Support, Data Acquisition and Management, Technology innovation, partnerships and joint ventures, as well as technology transfer. To this end, scientific and electronic equipment, parts and supplies are required to properly conduct studies and experiments. Many of these studies are conducted with national initiatives involved for the agency and in conjunction with on-going agreements with universities and other federal agencies and cooperative studies and study sites. There is no other company currently that offers complete climate station that is to SCAN specification. The determination not to compete this proposed order is at the sole discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. This is a notice and a solicitation will not be issued. NRCS will not respond to requests for solicitation copies and will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. This notice is not a request for proposals. No solicitation document is available.
