The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make multiple awards for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Waseca, Minnesota. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. FCI Waseca is a low security facility which houses female offenders. The anticipated contract type is indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base and four-one year option periods, if exercised, are as follows: 12 inpatient days (guaranteed minimum)/120 days (estimated maximum) and 40 outpatient visits (guaranteed minimum)/400 visits (estimated maximum). Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be made available on/or about September 20, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date of receipt of proposal is November 19, 2010, 2:00 PM (Central Time). Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contractor for which they are eligible.
