The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) plans to issue an Invitation For Bids (IFB) for a contractor to furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and perform all work for upgrading the compressed air systems at both Eisenhower and Snell Locks located in Massena, New York. The upgrade at each lock will include the replacement of four (4) air compressors having a total of 800 hp and 3700 acfm and the associated compressed air conditioning systems, with four (4) new air-cooled air compressors at 125 hp and 630 acfm each along with the associated air piping, ductwork, condensate system, air filters, flow controls, meters, air dryer, receiver tank, cooling air supply ducting, and power feeds. The work is to commence in April 2011 with completion in October 2011. The cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $33.5 M. Drawings are available on CD for $10.00 US funds or hard copy for $75.00 US funds. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be issued approximately July 12, 2010 with a bid opening date on or about August 18, 2010. A firm fixed price contract shall be awarded.
