AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 422nd Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of manufacturing new spares for the Computer Subassembly with NSN 5895015898356EK and part number 100K669G01, intended for the B1B platform. This effort, designated under Notice ID FD20302700049, is a Sources Sought synopsis under FAR Part 10 and is not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. The government is seeking information from all types of businesses, including small businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses, to assess competition and determine if this requirement can be set aside for small business participation. The estimated requirement is for four units, and potential vendors must demonstrate the ability to manufacture the item from scratch, manage the full lifecycle including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, and shipping, as well as address challenges such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 336413, with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the Federal Stock Class is 5895. Responses must be submitted via the designated email address, 422.scms.afmc.rfi@us.af.mil, by the deadline of August 14, 2026, with all dates based on Central Standard Time. There are no funds available at this stage to support the information gathered, and no contract will be awarded based on this market research effort alone. The government intends to use the input to shape the future acquisition strategy, potentially splitting the requirement by airframe or consolidating it based on vendor capabilities and market viability. Participation requires vendors to select the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button, and inquiries regarding solicitation will not be answered as this is strictly a pre-solicitation market research action.
