Concrete Services

The Chandler Unified School District has issued Request for Proposal 11-27-31 for comprehensive concrete services to support its 57 district sites, including elementary, junior high, high, and alternative schools. The scope of work encompasses the installation and replacement of various concrete elements such as flatwork, sidewalks, foundations, retaining walls, curbs, gutters, and structural components. Contractors are expected to manage all aspects of the process, including subgrade preparation, concrete placement, finishing, and debris removal, while ensuring strict adherence to ACI and ASTM standards, ADA accessibility requirements, and safety protocols suitable for occupied K-12 educational environments. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the OpenGov portal no later than October 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm. The District will award the contract to the most advantageous responsive and responsible offeror, with the possibility of making single or multiple awards. Evaluation criteria are weighted toward qualifications and relevant experience (25%), key personnel and project management (17.5%), and concrete quality, materials, and testing (17%). Successful vendors must maintain specific insurance coverage, including at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, and provide a minimum one-year warranty on workmanship and materials. Required submittals include an Offer and Acceptance Form, a Vendor Registration Form, and a W-9, along with detailed hourly labor rates and unit pricing for common work items.
