The contract is for the procurement of 118 units of cone and rollers, specifically tapered roller bearings, meeting ABMA Class 2 tolerances and identified under part number 3110-00-100-3617. These items are designated as commercial products and are subject to stringent technical and quality standards outlined in the Defense Logistics Agency’s Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. All bearings must be manufactured in the United States, its outlying areas, or Canada, with at least 50% of the component cost originating from these regions, in compliance with DFARS restrictions on the acquisition of ball and roller bearings. Contractors are required to provide a declaration regarding the domestic or foreign nature of materials and must adhere to strict packaging, marking (MIL-STD-129), preservation, and inspection processes per MIL-DTL-197M and related DLA quality assurance provisions. Delivery is required within 171 days, with inspection and acceptance to occur at the origin point. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited from coming into contact with the hardware, with limited exceptions.
