The bearings must meet technical and quality requirements from the DLA Master List and adhere to MIL-DTL-197M for preservation methods, which dictate protective lubricants based on bearing type and closure, and MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging, with all packaging and marking conforming to MIL-STD-129 using a special marking code ZZ. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited in preservation, packaging, or contact with the product, except for functional uses such as batteries, instruments, or sensors as specified by NAVSEA, with portable devices needing shockproof containment and a secondary barrier. Unit identification and Item Unique Identification are not required per customer request. Transportation is governed by DFARS clauses for sea movement and reflagging, and all payments must be submitted electronically through WAWF using invoices and receiving reports for fixed-price line items.
