Full Description
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to deliver and install fully assembled metal storage containers meeting all minimum requirements stated herein. All work shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as VA safety and security requirements.
Requirements
Container Specifications
Each storage container provided under this contract shall:
- Have a length of no less than 40 feet.
- Be a High Cube (HC) container with an external height of 9 feet 6 inches.
- Include two (2) roll‑up doors located on one of the long sides of the container.
- Provide roll‑up doors that each measure no less than 7 feet (height) by 8 feet (width).
- Be constructed of durable metal, suitable for long‑term exterior use.
- Be offered as either:
- New, or
- Refurbished, in serviceable condition free of significant structural damage, corrosion, or leaks.
Condition Requirements (New or Refurbished)
Refurbished containers shall:
- Be structurally sound and fully weather‑resistant.
- Have doors functioning smoothly without sticking or forceful operation.
- Be free of significant dents, holes, rust penetration, or compromised flooring.
- Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a VA facility.
Installation Requirements
The contractor shall:
- Transport containers to the VA‑designated location.
- Provide all labor and equipment required for placement (e.g., forklifts, cranes, rigging, etc.).
- Set containers on contractor‑provided or VA‑designated surface as directed.
- Ensure containers are level and stable.
- Confirm proper functioning of all doors and components upon installation.
