During the conference call with industry, USDA will share information on the type of product it seeks to buy, and would like to discuss with participants wild rice specifications, customary quality assurance in the industry, supplies on-hand, etc. USDA encourages questions from participants during the call, including on how to apply to sell wild rice for use in USDA Domestic Food Assistance Programs. USDA-AMS intends to purchase traditionally-harvested wild rice for USDA Domestic Food Assistance Programs through a solicitation scheduled for issuance on or after February 11, 2016.
