AI Contract Overview
The contract solicitation SPE7M1-26-U-4484 is for the procurement of a qualified electrical plug connector, part number M39012/35-0503, with NSN 5935-00-430-4114, under Federal Stock Class 5935. The item must fully comply with the MIL-PRF-39012/35H Rev H performance specification, dated February 21, 2025, and is subject to Qualified Products List (QPL) requirements as defined in procurement note H01. This is a critical application item, requiring strict adherence to technical data and configuration control. Environmental restrictions prohibit the intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds, except in specified functional applications such as batteries, fluorescent lamps, sensors, or weapon systems, with additional containment requirements for portable devices. The use of Class I ozone-depleting substances in manufacturing, testing, or cleaning is strictly prohibited unless prior written approval from the Contracting Officer is obtained, and this prohibition overrides any conflicting specification requirements. The item must be packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E using clean and dry preservation methods, wrapped in corrosion-inhibiting paper, and packed in boxes without cushioning material. All packaging and marking must comply with MIL-STD-129, including a 2D Data Matrix barcode, with no special marking required beyond standard requirements. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, and the Government is solely responsible for both processes. Delivery is required FOB Origin within 76 days after order placement, with an estimated quantity of 65 units listed as non-binding and subject to change by the Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), which has a maximum ceiling value of $350,000 and a guaranteed minimum of nine units. The solicitation is structured as a unilateral IDC under FAR 52.216-1, issued by the Department of Defense’s Maritime Supply Chain under the NAICS code 334417, with proposals due electronically via the DIBBS portal by August 4, 2026.
