AI Contract Overview
Rhode Island Housing is seeking proposals from qualified firms to establish two rosters of consultants capable of providing technical assistance to municipalities in advancing housing development initiatives near transit hubs. The focus is on supporting projects that promote residential growth, especially those incorporating affordable or middle-income units, and facilitating zoning changes that enable increased housing opportunities in transit-adjacent areas. Respondents must specify which activities they can support within the scope of the Pipeline Development and Transit-Oriented Development Zoning Technical Assistance programs, though they are not required to cover all areas. Proposals are due by March 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., and should be submitted via email to Stacy Wasserman, the Innovation Program Manager. The contract size ranges from $500,000 to $2,000,000, and the initiative aims to strengthen municipal capacity to identify and advance housing projects that align with transit-oriented development goals. Interested parties are encouraged to review the full Request for Proposals available on the Rhode Island purchasing website for detailed instructions and requirements.
