Continued Provision, Maintenance and Support of the RST Online Service

Rail Staff Travel Limited has entered into a contract with Worldline IT Services for the continued provision, maintenance, and support of the RST Online service. This agreement ensures the ongoing operation of the bespoke online retail platform and the critical integrations between Worldline's proprietary ticket issuing system and the Rail Staff Travel Phoenix database. The service is intended to maintain operational continuity while future decisions are made regarding integration with a Great British Railways retail platform. Awarded via a direct award process, the contract is valued at 2,370,000 pounds including VAT. The direct award was justified based on Worldline's exclusive intellectual property rights and the significant technical risks involved in transitioning a business-critical service to another provider. The contract term is scheduled to run from January 9, 2027, to January 8, 2029, with a potential extension option until January 8, 2031.
